Autumn is lovely in Cardigan Bay. And the change to autumn 2014 seems particularly wonderful after a magic summer.
Nature puts on a show of beautiful colours during autumn
See it at as a whole and you are treated to natural works of art everywhere. So many shades of green, golden yellows, reds and browns.
Rod spotted this ‘comma’ butterfly in St Dogmaels recently. An absolute cracker. We’ve had a lot of butterflies here this year especially Red Admirals so it was unusual to see this comma one.
If you come on holiday here you know that walking and enjoying the countryside is very easy in west Wales. Some of the most satisfying views can be seen at this time of year. The sunsets are spectacular with the whole sky lit up red over the Irish Sea.
The coastal paths are all still open and there are far fewer visitors to the area at this time of year. So it feels more special.
This autumn 2014 there’s a chill in the early mornings and late evenings but when the sun’s out it’s warm and uplifting.
